The Gloucester Institute held the 4th Annual “Great Debate” weekend for the Emerging Leaders on April 13-15 at Regent University. The Great Debate is designed to enhance students' public speaking and critical thinking skills in a highly competitive debate setting. At The Gloucester Institute we believe future leaders must have the ability to express their ideas with both reason and with passion. The theme is borrowed from the motion picture “The Great Debaters,” starring Denzel Washington.

Miracle Allums, Virginia Commonwealth University
2011-2012 EMERGING LEADER
Miracle Allums is a junior studying Psychology, Pre-Med with a minor in Spanish at Virginia Commonwealth University. Originally from Yonkers, New York, she is very active on campus and serves as co-founder and president of Ladies In Faith Together (L.I.F.T), a Christian based organization focused on fostering sisterhood and spiritual relationship through community engagement.
