The Citizenship Project

The Citizenship Project promotes civic responsibility and personal freedom by helping individuals understand the critical role they as American citizens play in the public policy process. The Citizenship Project is a continuation of a program initiated in 1999 by Gloucester Institute Founder Kay Coles James.

Through public speakers, written commentary and targeted public policy discussions, the Project mobilizes citizens to community involvement. The roundtables and forums are hosted at Holly Knoll in Gloucester, Virginia. Occasionally, sites will be selected outside of Holly Knoll based on identified targets and community interest.
